A family legacy, in younger hands
Integrated Urban Developments is what happens when a family business passes to a generation with bigger plans for it. Young entrepreneurs Rameez Allie and Mishqah Israel took over the company and enhanced it into an integrated development and building firm — honouring the foundation, and building on it.
A trade learned on family sites
Long before the company carried its current name, it was the Allie family's property business. Rameez Allie grew up inside it — working under his father and learning the trade where it can't be faked: reading a site, costing a build, queuing at the council counter, and treating every hand-over as the company's signature.
A father retires; a son takes the reins
After years working alongside his father, Rameez stepped up when his father retired — taking over the family business rather than letting it end with him. What he inherited wasn't a head office but a way of working: do what you said you would, build it properly, and leave a name people trust.
Two young entrepreneurs, one vision
With Mishqah Israel alongside him, Rameez set about enhancing the business — registering the company as it trades today in 2019 and setting an ambitious vision: to serve all markets, with a passion for the affordable-housing space and a dignified, value-for-money home for every South African who buys from them.
Integrated, in every sense
Today IUD is an integrated property developer and building contractor headquartered in Salt River — developing its own land, partnering with landowners, managing developments end-to-end, and building. Its completed homes stand at Aan De Wijnlanden Estate, with BP Woodlands and a 42-unit apartment development at Hagley underway — the family business, carried forward and enhanced by its next generation.
